Hey again,

I keep putting up small edits that to be honest, aren't al that great, but following a weekend at PORC, the finding of a tripod, some good riders and some pro editing equipment, i've been able to put together some [hopefully] pretty decent footage.

This is just a very small section of this years project for me, a new film, filmed in 16:9 ratio film, unfortunately not HD as I really want, but really really can't afford a HD camera. The film will be called Gripped Addiction [bit cheesy I know!], and feature quite a few riders [including myself, and most of my riding mates hopefully [maybe even some pros!]] and following the purchase of some professional editing software [power director deluxe] I'm hoping this will be a pretty good film =).

Anyway, this is the first edit that I have done so far, its a small section of what will be my friend Rob Allen's section of the film. Him blasting the 4X at PORC, enjoy...

Nice, some great footage and editing there, 1 or 2 shots slightly underexposed, but that's just being picky.

Good work, look forward to seeing some more!

Some great shots there buddy. Good cutting between the static frames and the tripod has done massive favours  Smile

Maplin are advertising an HD camcorder for £149 at the mo but am a bit dubious about recording to SD still. Does anyone have experience with one that they can reccomend?

Thanks man, yeah the tripod has really improved the shots i think, just need a cable cam and a dolly cam now =P

As for the HD camera, the one on Maplin is out of stock everywhere, so im guessing it is dis-continued. However, i did find this - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FREE-8GB-FU...18%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

Its a Japanese make called Ordro, and having checked the reviews, the seller looks legit, masses of pos feedback about the camera, so im thinking awesome deal, especially as the shipping is free!

ill do a bit more research and then hopefully have it soon as! =)

*Edit, good free items included in the package too!*

Looks like a good package. Only thing to be careful about is getting spares should it break down. Great price though and like you say people seem positive with the seller!
