| Picked up my new ride for the Mega, Alvar. Had Evans build me up a Scott Ransom. Wasn't a great ride and badly spec'd for the money. Tried the Trek 7, and half an hour later I walked out the door with my new rig!! |

Took it the R last night. It awesome, just loves single track... so fast. Dual ring set up and a gravity seat post and the 66's off the Gambler for Mega tough. |

What's the format for the Mega?
How long is it, do people go for the whole week and is there plenty to ride outside of the race?
Was talking to Pires about this yesterday and given that I'm definately not getting any younger, next year might have to be the year for me.
Good excuse to sort some upgrades for the Mini DH too... |

Rob you will love the mega
format is
quialfication
and then mega
the tracks are so long it takes a week to even get a faintes idea of the tracks
there are plenty of trails there you wont get bored there some of the best trails you will ever ride.
you can race like a pro or just chill and ride with your mates but it is one hell of a race
Pires I is not messing take the gambler you will need need it mucho |

Thanks Alvar.
Any suggestions on upgrades for the Mini DH?
I was thinking some stronger cranks, upgraded forks and one of those fancy seatposts for the climbs.
Oh and lots of spares... |

Not the Remedy then? Cool. If the gambler goes I need to give the gearing some consideration as a front mech is not an option.
