Nice Russ. Were they all Meta frames that cracked?

Yup both metas, first one cracked on the welds on the downtube where the shock rocker mounts are, 2nd one cracked on the top tube underneath at the very front by the head tube. Ive heard of loads of otheres cracking to, it rides great but i wouldnt buy another one.

Doesn't sound too healthy!

Nice set up 02Dobby. Have been considering getting a Marin too. Was that originally an XC set up?

Originally a "All Mountain" set up (and still kinda is) but in the process of turning it into a lite-freeride bike with new 36 talas's or lyriks heading its way. Simply replacing other components with heavier bits when they break Very Happy
For a frame though, it rides amazingly well over the rough stuff and very little pedal feedback through the shock due to the link set up EVEN with pro-pedal switched off. The Maxle rear keeps things in a straight line too with no play or "twisting" sensation while railing the corners.

Nope haven't been to Rotherfield before, the bike though was bought from Cycles UK in Tonbridge thanks to Dan and Adam for getting me £200 off too!
