I think that's a good answer to a lot of it. The more people out there, the less this sort of thing will re-occur the following winter! (not that I've been there to help out much )
Robbo had contaced Rowan Sorrel and some of the Welsh guys who are trail designing/building ninjas who could possibly also help get some uber sweet stuff at Bedge.

This is a good point as well! I haven't re-newed my membership because i simply can't afford atm. Plus haven't had all that much time to ride of late so would be paying to help build
Welcome btw crankycow

Thanks Ben!
The thing is does it matter if you do get muddy? thats what the bike wash is for and the showers.
Lemmy
But why are you walking half of it? I'm not walking half of it and neither is my 8 year old!
As Pires said I have been riding it all winter, there are a couple of places where there are trails around the worst bits and I do use them sometimes, but that is a couple of minutes tops and then on your bike again.
This whole thread made me laugh so much as you all sound like old women, and I'm supposed to be like that!
"my new biking shoes are covered in mud now" I hope your only joking Outlander and not serious.....Just wash them!!!
It's going to be fantastic tomorrow, can't wait!

Yeah imagine it's running a lot better now but did hear it was horrendous a while back. If you can't physically get a bike through it it's not all that much fun. Also if it was looking at being an olympic training venue isn't it that there should be no track-lying water? _________________

Nice to have someone throwing a spoke in the works...
I think that if it were used for olympic purpouses they'd have to pull their socks up a bit and sort the drainage. _________________

Hi Guys,
Went on the single track on Sat 17th, and was impressed with how much surfacing had been done.
It's fasntastic if you want a more tame ride, but not if you like a challenge.
Maybe in some places the original muddy bit could have been left and a surfaced alternative made next to it, not in all as it is too narrow.
Anyway, good ride all round even though it was raining all day, it was really quiet and nice as it kept all the wobblers away!

Spent this afternoon on the single track. My advice would be to get down there ASAP. Its been really improved with hardcore filling in the bogged areas. This means some extremely fast runs......especially from the quarry down to platformed track..... a really good ride.
The freeride area has been really improved too....with the berms increased in size and the last big table top has been sorted right out. Loads of air and a really nice landing.......... LOVED IT!!!
............I did miss the mud a little!!!
