Welcome along buddy
Always found funding was a prob, you'll be amazed how much wood you get through building and the cost really does add up. A good place to go is your local fencing company with a rough idea of what sized wood your after and ask them if they have any unusable stuff. Often they do and you'll find there's only minor faults with it and is perfect for shore building _________________

welcome.
another place to find wood is sign people (the guys that put sign up) as they will have stacks of crates that will just get burnt otherwise. that where we get our wood in Sevenoaks as one of the guys happens to have that as a job so they just bring that along. _________________ |

My local dump has stacks of crates every now and then. negotiate a good price with them, and be sure to bring a wadge of cash!
Also, and much cheaper/better is have a scout round your local industrial estate. Many companies receive goods on crates, and you can sometimes get them cheep/free. (lorry drivers do the same sometimes as they can sell them on, and it's money in the back pocket, for the weekend kind'a deal)
big tip! Don't be tempted to use nails for everything, spend a little extra on getting some BEEFY self tapping screws to hold things together. nails are only to hold things in place ( as opposed to together)
good luck! and post your progress! |

Yeh wouldn't hand over cash for pallets buddy. Most companys pay to have them removed! Do you go by any rules for building Jedi? Have often wondered that _________________
