the collective is no more. i think one of the guys that was part of the collective went back to uni and took the name with him, or somthing along thoes lines.
Barred For Life looks like its gonna be a good film, the trailers look sick .
think it comes out next month
there is also Kranked (8 ) Revolve. thats also lookin like a nice film

That's interesting and very sad news. However, I reckon they may get back together at some point... It was such a winning formula, they surely won't be able to resist making another film someday...

The reputation they had built up was something else. Plus the popularity was on the up too. Very sad to hear that though!
Life Cycles (one of the team worked on the Down series) has made some bold claims to being revolutionary too. Will be interesting to see how that works.
Also recently got NWD9. Completely mental as usual but was impressed. It ends well too (probably my second fave MTB DVD ending).

Basically one of the guys from the collective went back to uni, but the rest of them are making a new film under a different name. It was in MBUK a few months back.

Keep us poted on developments rusty (what was the name of the group?).
Had a look at some of the new trailers, trouble is we've all seen the Superflip now. Wonder what they can do to make films in the future unique? The trailers for kranked and barred for life are very similar in a way.

NWD9 was really good. Want to get the Rampage Video as that looks amazing.

Rampage vid is great, although sometimes the quality of it could have been better! I still think Virtuous is the top film just because it's really well put together and not ott like the collective stuff. probably good they're on a break - will get them to rethink and get more creative. the kranked 9 (? - I think that's what we're on now) looks good too!

this looks amazing!!! havent seen any mtb vids before what would you recomend to give idea's and tips??

If you want to look for tips I would recommend watching the dh runs on freecaster. You can really see how the boys and girls work the bike, where their body position is, how they handle drops, switchbacks, berms etc... other than that just ride with people who are better than you and are willing to give you tips! Those mtb films just make everything look easy lol!

Good find Rusty
This is great. They knocked a new DVD together fairly quick then for their standards. Can't help think of a Scott Gambler ad when I look at the site

So looking at the new website for the Collective boys the only one missing is Jamie Hussain, so he must have been the one who threw his toys out of the pram then.

I dunno anything about any toy throwing, but i heard he just went back to uni and didnt want the others to carry on his production company without him.

Boo hiss - he always looked a bit miserable, which is odd considering he was in exotic locations aparently doing something he loved.
Never forget the Seasons premier in London though - Roam first then first look at Seasons, all soaked in lots of Stella and talk of riding, was a top night.

Seasons has to be one of if not the best bike dvd i've seen. Other than that it's the collective...
