Do it all ride

Given that the Gambler is too heavy (around 40lbs), bouncy for UK Trail riding. I'm on the look out for a more trail orientated 2nd bike.

I want something that is light, snappy, a good trail ride but also has a geometry good for jumping and putting a grin on your face downhill.

Narrowed it down to two rides now. (although they are slightly different they are around the 100mm travel mark).

Cannondale Rush or Jamis Parker I. Jenson USA are doing the Parker frames for £250 on sale too. I think that may be too good a deal to miss out on.

Any other bikes I should consider.

'Dale Rush is a good xc bike but the angles are steep and your weight is pushed relatively far forward with a long top tube, not so good for jumps. The fox forks are meant to slacken it somewhat if you are considering these rather than a lefty on the Rush.

Maybe a Prophet is more trail and jump friendly? You could also consider a Giant Trance or a Spesh Stumpjumper FSR. This would stick to your criteria of light and snappy but burly enough for the odd jump.

Yeah I had given the Prophet some thought. Chaning to a coil shock should make it burly too. Maybe a Cruz Heckler?

A kona bass or coiler might be a good choice? I do like the look of the prophets though!

nomad?

One of the guys at Wildside was selling a Heckler or a Bullit (bright orange) which tempted me recently. Might be worth checking it out as it had good spec. Only thing was the frame was quite large.

Nope. The Gambler is staying. Just need something to pedal as becoming lazy!!

FINALLY!! I'm the proud owner of a Remedy 7..... It's great!!!

Tried the Ransom 30. Spec'd very badly as the frame costs so mush with that strange shock of theirs.   Shocked

What was that about having to save?...

Get some pics up!
