Considering buying a new frame

I am looking at buying a new frame , i want an all mountain/freeride frame with 6" travel but with 18 gears so i can use it as an xc .
I like the look of a Santa cruz bullit , Has anyone got one ,what are they like ? has anyone got any other suggestions for frames ?

My mate has just bought a intense 6.6 for 800 quid looks the dogs but its not built yet so dont know what it rides like. Guess it depends on how much you want to spend really ?

thanks Yorkie i will do that , also i had a look at a giant reign x looks good , but has anyone got one or ridden one who can give me an opinion on them ?

im riding a mythic wildcard, 5 - 6.5 " travel, currently have 66's up front and a single 38t ring, witch is ok for freeridy stuff like herts etc. but with dual rings and somthing like a lyrik or 36 up front it would be much better for the kind of stuff you want it for.

My mates got a bullit custom build, and its insane. really really good bike, but a little too sort of forward for me, but im used to the raked feel lol. would be an excellent choice from FR and light DH to light XC.

IMO though, the reign is must better, my othe rmate has got one, and it feels so light and smooth, but can take the big stuff easy. not as well as the bullit, but XC will be a breeze.

Ide get the reign =]

I rode a Reign for a while (think it was the 06 one). Maestro works very well, although to make it more versatile I would have put a shorter stem on. Nice bike though.

I need to sell my Commencal 5.5 first so i can afford the giant , also i would like to ride the giant if anyone knows of a shop with a demo or a mate who has one i could have 10 minutes on it .
If anyone is interested in the commencal please PM me and i will send pictures and details of the bike .
