Busted rear shockRobs prediction came true, no more riding for me until I replace my rear shock. Just in time for the bank holiday as well. If I pick the rear end of the bike up three inches off the ground and drop, it makes a hideous cracking sound when the shock compresses and snaps back to full travel. Anyone else ever had this?

Crumbs sounds interesting enough! This is an air shock I'm guessing? Have 'hyper extended' my rear shock where i basically pulled off a flattish lip rather aggressivley and the shock seperated in 2 and the spring was left to fall out!

It's interesting in an annoying kind of way. It's an air sprung 165 entry level x-fusion unit.
I've been launching myself of everything I can find for the last 16 months so I should have expected it really.

Nice. What other evidence do people have of rig aduse?
Have managed to bend 3 pairs of rigid forks in the past and 2 bars in the past (featherweight rider  )

Went up to the woods up around Chartwell House last night and have fcked my rear mech! Hit a bad root section and stump and I came off worse. Spent half an hour in poor light trying to bend it out of my wheels.... oh well!
Also mullered myself a fair bit on the BMX.
