Biking highlights of the year? What was the riding highlight of this year? Was it a trail, venue or particular day that sticks out in your mind?

Did the Alps etc this year but had a fantastic solo ride a week or so ago just blasting some local trails in semi darkness with the sun going down through the golden Autumn leafs.
Should have taken a helmet cam or camera

You certainly should have! It's those sort of rides that you only get once...

JAW you should have had the headcam when you followed me the other day and i went over the bars off the step-down. Now that would've been a highlight on cam
Probably would say the Alps as well. Blasting the Pleney full on last run of the day with the sun setting. The memories...
What dates were you in the Alps Dango?

July 14th for about 11 days, was staying n Morzine but enjoyed the riding in Switzerland more, less braking bumps and people.
This vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ot1MGdonxq8 shows one of the trails, I wasn't standing out of the saddle much though as I had an infected foot and could barely walk, still got on the bike though

the biggest highlight of every year for me is meeting new riders who are on the same path as me

We were there at the same time... Did you see a blue Norco with orange rims around by any chance?
Really wanted to go to Switzerland but never did in the end. Morgins looks AWESOME!!
The Pleney was well looked after this year though. Probably because of the previous bad weather. Nearly smacked into a digger doing work several times though
