Best film soundtrackWould be interested to know what styles of music scores best with the viewers.
Is there an all-round best selection for a particular film out there?

i wouldn't really say there is a definet best selection, the music chosen for a section has to fit with the sort of riding that it is going with, heavier beats for DJ (maching the beats is alw3ays a good effect) and more flowy bluesy style stuff for singletrack and so on. i think films like CDK and ROAM have got the right sort of mix.

Yeah i agree though in the latter sections of roam (morocco & 1st section of BC) the music got a bit drowsy and monotonous, though the rest was excellent.
Kranked 6 was also really different for soundtrack (Boyko's segment rocks!), as was earthed 3 and NWD 7 went for their usual stoking selection!

First Collective film still tops it for me. Probably an unbeatable selection of tracks.
What type of music would the track from Boykos section in Kranked 6 fall under?
Fitted the action really well. Wouldn't have chosen it myself but was taken by surprise how well it fitted.
Earthed has an unusual selection, not that that's a bad thing though.

super 8 has some realy good music - all earthed films have the best suited music to the riding though!!

if you listen to a DVD's soundtrack on its own it might be boring, its when it's taken in the context of what the riding is that it truly stands out. If the music doesn't go then the film will fail.

yeah, true. I often find myself thinking 'that tune is too heavy for a biking vid' but once you put it with footage it doesn't sound too bad.

Yeah it's essential to make sure the dvd doesn't become repetitive. In ROAM they start off with a nice mix but then towards the end you get like three really soft tunes in a row and it slightly takes the edge off the film.

Greetings Dango Good to have ya on board.
Found the Roam sound track fairly dissapointing after their first effort. Is going to be a hard challenge to beat for them with their third one.
