Air pressure

Are you particular about tyre/shock/fork pressure on your bike? Give your reasons, cowboy...

I probably should be though. I've just had my forks serviced and I totally regret not noting the set up before I sent them away! Months before I had them set up when I was in Canada by our guide Smoke and he set them up and I totally noticed the difference. Now the forks are like brand new and super stiff (until I get those drops sorted I'm sure they'll loosen up!).

Fox forks seem to be easier to set up. I once messed around with my Manitu swinger on the Yeti and one moment later oil everywhere... apparently you're not supposed to turn one of the dials... opps!

Same, i'm terrible at that sort of thing - with tyres it's just a matter of pumping them up until they feel right, and as for forks, I haven't really touched them since the day I got the bike. Shame on me!  Embarassed

My forks are 05 Marzocchi's, so have been fit & forget. I adjust tyres slightly - soft when muddy, hard when dry etc but that's about as techical as it gets! (Have also kept the Swamp things on all year too).

i have 05 zocchi's too, so i never touch them. i think they could do with a service tho as ive hade them around 3 years Confused
same with tires, i keep the same pair till i think they need changing, and i run high rollers all year.

i have just got a few new parts to 'try' and install tho, so i stripped the hole bike and gave it a good clean and a regrease. first time since i got it lol.

Good man it's surely worth doing. Haven't done that though since I did it for a job! Funny how that works  Cool

Speaking of which I don't ever recall getting my rear shock serviced in the 4 years I've had it...
