Went over to bedgebury yesterday eve and really liked the additions to the singletrack. Didn't manage to get over to the freeride area and haven't been there for some time (about 2 years).
Are there any new additions to the area since the beginners lines?

Cool. I've been about once in two years - they had just finished the berms in the old Gloomy Wood area (where they forested).
It was good fun. Might have to pay another visit soon if it's been improved. |

I quite enjoyed it. It was the first time I had actually ridden the whole thing (or nearly all of it). It was quite frustrating that there was more up than down though! I guess it wouldn't be so bad on a proper XC bike, but a lot of the downs seemed to be wasted by a sudden blast down a fireroad, only to be followed by a lung busting, technical climb!
There were some magical bits though, and I do want to go back. Will have to see what's become of the freeride area next time... _________________

It definitely did seem a lot better. I guess once you know where the sudden deadly-sharp corners are its even more fun. Looks like a fair amount of work has in there though and I did enjoy it.

Particularly noticed that at one section in the last quater of the course. _________________

Went to Bedgebury on Sunday.
Good little climb up the unofficial singletrack from the car park to the water tower, first official single track section was fun and the freeride area was entertaining, but unchanged.
They have however put up some absolutely mental signs that warn users that they have to be bonkers to even consider entering the area, let alone riding anything - priceless.
Have to say though, that little dual track is such a good blast. Even more satisfying having put some of the original spade-work into it.
The drainage does need sorting out and you can see where rolling grade dips are needed (I remembered Ben!) but it is running okay.
As usual its tempting to try and help but pointless given all the red tape |

What was that all about again?
It still oozes potential. A real shame eh?
