You've obviously asked too many questions in your time!

I would think it has to do with kids being promised something half decent to ride and then getting more than a little frustrated when the FC provide absolutely nothing new - so they build it themselves.

There are plenty of local kids that live nearby and they are always mucking about building stuff. Problem comes when they are told they will get something good and then get precisely nothing.

Having been involved in this in the past I can safely say that the FC get what they deserve. When you have a group of willing and, to a degree, able people, you should realise how lucky you are and harness their energy and resourcefullness and turn it into committment - preferably with a bit of support and some sensible decision making.

But that means leadership and civil servants are not known for that now are they.

Bitter - you bet I am  Evil or Very Mad

Robbo you just hit the nail on the head Cool. Is funny as I was going to post a similar thread to ask whether anyone could enlighten me as to what's happening as I haven't heard back from any emails of late.

Well there's a lesson to be learnt from all this, one of Garfield's great quotes: "if you want something done right you gotta do it yourself". If you want a decent bike park you've got to get your own land and build it yourself, like what Alvar's done.

From what I saw last time I was up there, there were no major changes. Berms were raised nicely and the bottom table top on the right now actually jumps and lands right.

Problem is that we are the minority down there I'm afraid.
