|
|
It has been a while after the plans were scheduled to be unveiled (originally dated Summer '07) and after things went quiet last Autumn it was very close to being canned altogether. Fortunately the plans have been picked up again but no date can be confirmed yet for the redevelopment of the freeride area. The plans are huge, and the scale of the development is to fill out the entire area between fire roads. For those who know,....
From home page: .....that is a large amount of space. One part of the area is to be occupied with several lines of dirt jumps for varying abilities, which branches off into timber lines. Also thrown in the bag are a few new downhill-style jump runs, to give the area something for everyone.
Meanwhile the existing 'dual' track has recieved a few minor moderations with the doubles being filled in to make them more aproachable for beginners.
It is stated on the club website (www.boarsonbikes.co.uk): "It is to become one of the most exciting Freeride destinations in the south east of the country" so we do recommend watching this space over the coming months...
Let us know your views & opinons on the area/situation

Would love to post em up but can't until they get final clearance. Will be quite sizeable development, and will probably take part in several phases. Will post up the plans as soon as it's possible.
phils010 are you planning to ride solely the freeride stuff? _________________

It definitely has potential to be a good area, with the plans and stuff. Just need to get the forestry moving... _________________

oh and a suggestion me and kian thought of was a proper route to the top that didn't cross over the runs? or if it does exist something to point to it. _________________ |
