Haven't read about it yet but never saw that coming form the UCI! What are people's thoughts on the banning of Skinsuits?

The fact is the UCI should leave it up to the ruders and teams to decide. I don't think the UCI sould start putting limitations and stupid regs into a sport.
There is an argument that says sponsors would prefer skin suits as its easier to display logos. More sponsors means more money, bigger mainstream sponsors, tv rights etc etc and the sport grows! _________________

Being that its such a popular subject makes it all the more interesting that the UCI pull off a move like that!
For the image of the sport it's better without. If it was advantagous to wear em no one would be willing to give them up for starters.
They were never really worn in World Cups either which was interesting. _________________

I'm glad they have banned it. Because all people now use them at the world champs, soon people would start wearing them at the world cup races (I think someone did at one of this years rounds actually - was it Dan Stanbridge?) and then before long everyone would wear them the whole cup through, and the image to outsiders would be lost.
I suppose if they did, at least freeriders wouldn't and they're probably more likely to catch the public eye... _________________

Theres a huge piece in Dirt this month on the subject. Looks like everyone is pretty much glad that skins are out.
