I have just fitted a new rear shock to my azonic and i am not sure how much sag etc to set it to . any suggestions on how much sag and rebound etc ?
I have read that about 33% sag . The rest of the travel feels fairly soft and plush is this how most people set there bikes ?

it depends on how much travel you have, 33% sag is about right
you could have more if it has plenty of travel
realy it down to how you like it

The bike has 7 1/2 inches of rear travel . It does feel quite reasonable and plush , i think i need to ride it before i make to many alterations

what sort of riding are you doing?

for DH you want about 30% and for FR you want around 20%. (at least that is what Fox tell me)

I do a bit of everything , so i shall try 30 % and see how i go . The trouble with my azonic is that the rear end is so infinitily adjustable that i dont know what to move first to get the result i am looking for .
I have some basic instructions that tell you that moving a bolt hole makes the head angle more slack etc , but this means not a lot to me . Azonic themslves were a waste of time contacting because they said the bike was to old . and they didnt have any information relevant to the bike .

A lot of the settings are just there for if you feel very poncy about your setup, so don't worry too much about it all. You should have a ring on the rear shock to check out what travel its going through?

If so just take the bike for a bit of a trash around and make sure it doesn't go though the travel too quick.

You'll soon know also if the head angle is too slack as the steering will feel uncontrolled and snappy.
