Silver 18" 04 Orange Patriot complete for sale.
Asking £400 but very flexible.
This was the top of the line Patriot and is still incredibly strong and stupidly light...
Only issue is that the forks need a service as they have become stiff due to lack of riding (this could be fixed for a minor extra price)
Brief spec:
Frame: 18" (good for 5'10" or taller, great if your looking for a bike that will climb as well as descend) silver 2004 Patriot with Fox Vanilla shock.
Forks: Manitou Sherman firefly with titanium internals
Brakes: Hope Mini (original and he best)
Wheels: Hope bulbs threaded to Alex rims. true.
Tyres: Maxxis HighRollers 2.1 front 2.5 back.
Bars: Answer ProTaper
Stem: Tioga DH
Seatpost: Orange
Saddle: SDG Bel-Air
Front derailer: Shimano XT
Rear: Deore.
Cranks: Deore
Pedals: Gusset SlimJims
Purchased this bike for freeride & downhill racing... Found it perfect for that and rode a lot of XC on it for which it is also superb.
Now i only ride XC and i've got my XC race bike i never ride the Patriot anymore and its a crime that this gorgeous bike isn't ridden!
The Patriot is hand-welded and put together in Halifax, England and it's no surprise it was Britains best-selling performance bike for years and years.
Can post photos if wanted.
Cheers

And photos:
If theres anyone anyone might know who's looking for a nice bike please let them know (it would be nice to sell to someone local - so far the best offer i've had is from a guy in Edinborough!)

nope, i ended up selling it to the guy in edinburgh in the end!
but he was super keen, he went on my website and got my phone number to call me up and make sure i sold it to him...
He paid for a parcel force van to come and pick it up and courier it to him so it wasn't much stress... just had to pack it in an old bike box, easy..
Sad to see that bike go though, had so many good times with the patriot...
wish i had the cash to replace it with a nice little road bike!
