A topic dedicated to new filmers/editors. [Like Me [Well...Pretty New]]. Im thinking people that want to get a better, more entertaining, more pro film should be taught from old hands? Maybe an idea to have a film day where techniques etc are taught? I am a brand new user joined like 2 minutes ago but i thought it would be an idea. Some of you might know me from bedgebury [Freeride and Jumps Movie] but ive made some more and want to get better at it so heres a thread for a thought...

Check out my latest video by the way. Its of the Bidborough Ridge downhill, the top sections pretty good fun, and the rest is pretty cool too. Anyway, give it a look and tell us what you think.

Welcome Metalibiker Some nice cuts there.
Is great when people suggest ideas like that as it helps keep things interesting! Could be a done thing like you could pick a venue which would be interesting to work with and look at the best ways to capture interesting linking sections of trail/static shots etc. Also one of the best tutors is the great films out there; one of the best to look at is The Collective for imaginative shots. _________________

Yeah seen both ROAM and The Collective and getting Seasons soon hopefully [looks amazing]. Sorry i PMed you btw, didnt see your reply. Yeha sounds cool, i dont know many great venues though, maybe you could help? Only using a crappy home-video camcorder at the mo but hoping to get hold of some better equipment. _________________ Let's go Man! |

Seasons Is the best purchase in ages, amazing stuff. Might even top the Collective...
Good local venues could be Bedgebury, Bull Track- spots with a variety of types of riding on offer.
The best hardware for improvement would be to start with getting a tripod and wide-angle lens. The type of shots you'll be able to get will increase massively. _________________

Check the venues/clubs forum its a sub-forum there. Think its £2.50 a ride but has loads of jumps and shore on offer. _________________
