We have some secret trails not far from our house, tucked away where no-one ever goes. Until recently that was the case anyway because a local stumbled across them and told all the other locals of their whereabouts. That's already not a very good thing to do considering they were told not to tell anyone.
What's worse is most people now turn up, case every ramp and leave, leaving us to regularily have to repair ramps which others can't be bothered to sort out. I didn't think this scenario should occur in a mtb community but hope it's only a T Wells thing
Look after each other's riding spots people and show respect to others' hard work!

huh...bit different in sevenoaks. normally riders hear about our spot and then try and get down while we are down to help us build. tis great, our build team has grown from about 4-5 to about 15 now...still only 7 or so regulars but more people are coming and helping, only problem with getting more noticed is the wrong people might notice.
you ever had to scare people away? we have, not that it was hard. _________________ |

i think the fact that we had 3 shovels, 2 machetis (or however you spell it), 2 axe's and a saw probly help sare them off
and possably the fact they'd seen us throw loggs at each other before....just imagine what went through their heads
"If thats how they treat their friends...****..their comming our way, scarper"
who the hell says scarper? _________________ |

the voices inside your head obviously!!
yeah i like going to sevenoaks and building stuffs its fun not really fun to have jamie throwing logs at you tho. hehe that mark he left across sams back (think it was sam)
maybe you should try not maintaining the jumps for a while and see if the people start to do it them selves or if htat doesnt work then place spikey things that can only be moved buy you around the area haha has to be the most used thinng in this thread _________________

are you ever there when the other "non your group" people come down?...if tyou are just ask them nicely to not tell everyone about it and to help you maintain _________________ |

It's a good thought but the origional prob was the person went and told everyone about the trails when he was told not to. Kids have a lack of understanding of what effect doing this sort of thing causes. Have run into a few and just had a quick word (well mannered, of course )
Have to be careful with maintainance in a way because if you leave tools around you'll soon get people building dodgy stuff which will eventually get found and pulled down.
These are the trails in question

Hide them. we have a few hiding spots for our tools, handy little alcoves and stuff (normaly within tree's) and as we are down there most of the time we get to meet anyone that comes down. _________________ |
