I'd heard something to do with some building going on at Hurst wood. Despite the natural contours there being good the Woodland Trust are not towards biking!!!
We tried to build a gap there over a year ago, only moving a few logs from one pile to another to resemble a take-off and when we got back there was a notice with a crime number to report to

I remember last summer like 3 guys built some really nice jumps and a drop-off their (i've never acctually seen so much mud shifted by guys just with spades, seriously)
But they just got bulldozed...
There could be some really nice lines through their, but its just too small and open...
Still a few places around TWells with potential though (Hargate forest, the warren) _________________ A.BRUCE PHOTOGRAPHY |

Should maybe organise a dig day at one of these places during the summer. We need more stuff to ride locally. (Where's hargate?) _________________

Hargate and the Warren are both right on the south side of TWells... Hargate is just off Broadwater Down road....theirs this one section *back in the days* where i used to have like a 1 mile long DH course.... and that stayed their for about 2 years, then pikeys graffitied the place and the woodland trust just assumed it must be something to do with the bikers, so had them bulldozed...
sure they've got over that now though
I was thinking making a little singletrack training circuit there soon.. but whatever.
I'm always on the lookout for good woods though... _________________ A.BRUCE PHOTOGRAPHY

yeah secret trails indeed... they won't be secret for long; all it takes is one wrong kid to go there and the whole of T Wells will know!
How about rebuilding that DH course or something similar as opposed to a singletrack loop? _________________

looks ok! I wouldn't mind doing singletrack but it would take so much longer, and if we did it would have to have a massive downhill section (and not much up!) _________________

Sounds good. Do much of the public go there? Looks like a good venue to build stuff though.
