Any regular Broadwater forest users with comments on the cycling ban? Would like to hear your thoughts on the issue!

| I was wondering where you actually can ride your bike these days other than the big pay to ride parks? |

Personally I prefer not to have to go to overused places often and scout out natural stuff. Seems silly to have to cram all bikers into a few select locations in the south east to have their 'freedom' (and pay something like £7.50 for it)... _________________

Any comments about the application should be made to the ‘Forestry Commission, Regional Director for South East Region, Alice Holt, Wrecclesham, Farnham, Surrey, GU10 4LF by July 3rd 2009. _________________

There has been a constant on-going discussion with the RSPB and the local riders. We're keeping as much pressure on as possible and trying to work some degree of continued access. I will post more if anything concrete emerges from the discussions.
I wouldn't hold your breath... |

Sounds like they're being typically unreasonable?
Amazing they're willing to discuss over the closing date.
Emailed the provided contact address on the forestry page and they didn't seem to spare too many manners in thier reply!

Was it jonathan.harding@forestry.gsi.gov.uk? I wrote a fairly lengthy email and didn't even receive a response back. Ah well…
